time and boredom / zeit und langeweile
Hello everyone,
the Art Journal Journey's theme TIME made me think about my boredom diary I used to have, so I got it back out an thought about time again.
When I think about time these days I usually think about not having enough of it. Not enough time to paint, create and whatever else keeps popping up in my head.
But there were other times in my life. Obviously in 2003 I was so bored, I started my boredom diary:
Maybe someday - when the time is right - I will make a big collage out of it!
Hope you didn't get bored ;)

Flowers II
And here as promised more Flowers for the Mix it Monthly Challenge
For this first one I used a background that I prepared with blue lino ink. I used some handmade paper to create the flowers and later on I stamped and drew over the page at bit. It is still quite reduced, but I do like it like that.
And then I did this page when I was drawing with my little daughter....
Take a look at what my little daughter did, after she made me give her a journal just like mine :)
Thank you very much for stopping by and please leave a comment!

Flowers I
Hello there,
I can't believe I haven't been writing since May!!!! My life was quite busy lately - I went to Greece with my students and once our school year was over, went on a vacation with my family. With kids at home and my husband working there really wasn't much time to draw. But now I am back.
I actually did two water color paintings on my birthday:
I also did some zentangle flowers, which my 7 year-old daughter wanted to color....
and those for my mother in law.....
so I wasn't too lazy after all.
Have a nice week and more flowers soon!

I really wanted to do some flowers for:
Mix it Monthly: August / September Mixed Media Flowers
but then I saw a swan on my paper....

And I made a sheep for my son:
and a cat for my daughter!

The Sea - Das Meer
Hello!
What a lovely theme...
And this time I made up my mind to do more than just one piece on the subject!
So here is my first journal drawing - it is the memory of a beautiful vacation in Spain:

FAVOURITE POEMS & QUOTES / LIEBLINGS - GEDICHTE & ZITATE
Hello Everyone,
nice to have you here, visiting my blog.
Today I want to show you the work I did for the Art Journal Journey
theme :
I love Oscar Wilde, he was, is and probably will be my favorite writer…..followed
by some others…like William Blake, but Oscar Wilde is my number one. Basically
everything he said or wrote can be used as a quote. For my work I chose lines from
my favorite fairy-tales: “The Nightingale and the Rose” and “The Selfish Giant”.
I hope you enjoy it – and please leave a comment!

Stamps
Hello there....
today I made my first rubber stamps. I was inspired by a book by Geninne D. Zlatkis it is called "Stempelglück" in German and is absolutely lovely!
Well, here are my results:
I also printed on self made tags and made some little stamps from my leftover print block parts.
What a fun experience this was.....and I need to buy more print block maybe a bit less soft....since I am used to lino-printing.

Birds, Beasts and Humans - Vögel, Tiere und Menschen - Part II
Hello everyone,
as I said, there is more work to come. Last night I had a few hours of creative time and here is my work:
And then, as I told you before, my 4 year-old son wanted to draw for me as well, when he realized that my daughter was drawing birds for me!!!!
He drew a picture using felt-tip pens and I photocopied his drawing on water color paper. Then I drew some birds on top of it and it kind of looked like a nest. I am not sure yet, if I should add some color or just leave it back and white.....
What do you think?
